- Audience. This course is for everyone 16 years of age and older.
- Duration. This Course will take at least 3 hours to complete.
- Course Overview. The 2021 Adult First Aid/CPR/AED is a classroom-based course that prepares students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults. Upon successful completion of this course, the participant will be able to demonstrate proficiency in providing rescue Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), operation of an auto-defibrillator, be able to recognize emergencies and perform life-saving skills to address someone choking, bleeding or encountering sudden illness. Graduates of this course will receive their 2 year digital certificate for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED, issued directly from the American Red Cross.
- Materials Included. Adult Manikins, Training AED’s, Basic First Aid Training Supplies, CPR Pocket and Face Masks,Training Atropine Injector, Participant Reference Guides, and Adult & Pediatric Red Cross Exams.
- Requirements to Certify. Each participant must be able to demonstrate a primary assessment and one cycle of CPR (breaths and compressions) on the ground at least one time during the course. All other practice and scenarios of CPR skills may be done on a raised surface. Students must attend the full course, successfully demonstrate competency in chest compressions and rescue breaths, and maintain safety at all times.
